Hi! We are Thad and Kelley Porter, and we absolutely love everything about Halloween!! Every year, we create a display in our front yard that originally started out with just a few generic tombstones that we think were from Walgreens, that we hand wrote fake names on. Now, we have people who stop by every year to see if we have anything new, if we have a new "theme" or if anything else is moving - yes we have even designed things to pop up out of coffins. We dress up every year on Halloween, no matter what the weather and hand out candy. Some little ones are too frightened to walk up, so we often have to bring the candy to them. Although they have never said anything, our neighbors must hate us as they have to buy an awful lot of candy because of the traffic we bring!
We begin in late July, especially if we are creating something new, and start setting up our display in the yard the last weekend in September. We then sit out on the porch just about every evening to entertain the passers by.
